Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen
Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen exists for the primary purpose of introducing our guests to Jesus Christ – the only One who can eternally satisfy the spiritual needs of the soul. Secondarily, we desire to help meet a physical need of many in the Cedar City community by providing a wholesome meal.
The meal is free of charge and is open to everyone, including the homeless, those struggling financially, college students, and anyone else who simply desires a good meal and good fellowship with others.
When and Where?
- Currently, Loaves and Fishes serves lunches every Wednesday from 11:30 to 1:00.
- Loaves and Fishes is located in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, which is behind First Baptist Church, 324 W 200 N, Cedar City.
Interested in Volunteering?
- The ultimate goal of Loaves and Fishes is to help its guests come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we require that each volunteer already have a personal relationship with Jesus alone for his or her salvation before being asked to serve.
- If you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, are trusting in Him alone for your salvation, and are interested in volunteering at Loaves and Fishes, please read the Loaves and Fishes Doctrine Agreement Form. If you are in agreement with these statements, please print and sign the Volunteer Agreement Form and mail to First Baptist Church, Attn: Pastor Scott Miller. Please include your phone number and a volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule the day(s) on which you can help.
If you would like to make a financial contribution to Loaves and Fishes, please send a check, payable to Loaves and Fishes, to First Baptist Church, 324W 200N, Cedar City, UT 84720. All financial gifts are tax-deductible.
